Many years ago, a group of recreational vehicle owners joined together to raise money for my election. Instead of contributing to my campaign, I asked that they start a scholarship fund to assist local students pursue a higher education–they happily complied.  The Eddie Lucio Scholarship Fund grew and eventually became a 501c3 non-profit for educational advancement in 1997.  For the last 15 years, the generous contributions of our sponsors have allowed us to achieve our goals in making the Texas Legends Golf Classic a success.
